about

The duo "there are no more four seasons" hereby re-release "reBiber" - a followup to the self-titled debut CD from 2008 that was chosen as one of the decade's 10 best classical recordings by the Swedish daily paper Dagens Nyheter. Just as before, "there are no more four seasons" have taken on an older work and reinvented it as if it were written today. But that is not the entire truth. This time, the electro-violin duo use Biber's Passacaglia for solo violin from 1676. The eternal repetitive form has been their point of departure, but during the process, phrases have been added and taken away, and all has passed through both digital and analog algorithms, among other ways in the form of a modular synthesiser. Most of what you hear is in other words newly composed.

"there are no more four seasons" are the electronic musician Mattias Petersson and the violinist George Kentros. Mattias Petersson has specialised in electronic music with forays into chamber music. His recent opera "Anfasia" has had great success in western Sweden where it has been performed by Operation Opera. George Kentros has specialised in the newest music and is a founding member of the legendary ensemble the peärls before swïne experience.

"there are no more four seasons" är elektronmusikern Mattias Petersson och violinisten George Kentros. Time Out New York kallade duon "a must see concert" förra sommaren och skrev: "the result fits together more perfectly than any Ikea bookshelf." "there are no more four seasons" spelar live på allt från rockfestivaler till konserthallar, håller workshops för musikkonservatorier med mera.

Mattias Petersson är elektronisk musiker och tonsättare. George Kentros är en experimentell violinist. Tillsammans är de there are no more four seasons.
